Voice - Music Making A Way
Following a life changing personal situation over two years ago, Lucy 'lost her voice', silenced due to the pain and loss. A naturally gifted and talented singer fear, guilt, confusion, questions and more all contributed to her 'losing' her voice. Until now.
Music, determination, and raw talent has slowly driven her to rediscovering her voice and zest for life. This photographic documentary follows Lucy and her story through music and reflection to transformation.
Music the first chapter of the 'Voice' can be summed up in the lyrics of two songs that have helped her through this period: Sails - Pat Barrett & Older than I am - Lennon Stella

Reflections the second chapter of the 'Voice' was an opportunity for Lucy in the stillness and quiet of creation and seclusion, to reflect on the shoots, the lyrics of the songs rehearsed and recorded, and the implications of her journey to finding her voice. One song in particular reflected this period: Beautiful for me - Nicole Nordeman
"Every girl young and old has to face her own reflection. Twirl around, stare it down. What's the mirror gonna say? With some luck, you'll measure up. But you might not hold a candle to the rest "Is that your best?" says the mirror to little miss."
"But there's a whisper in the noise. Can you hear a little voice - And he says - Has anybody told you you're beautiful? You might agree if you could see what I see Oh - 'Cuz everything about you is incredible. You should have seen me smile the day that I made you beautiful for me"
Transformation the last chapter of the 'Voice' is a celebration of the "long road to the beginning" and expresses just how far Lucy has travelled in finding her voice. As she reflected it has been a long road to the beginning, the journey continues, these images are a celebration of the story so far and the journey ahead. As we closed this chapter, and Lucy started a new one, the lyrics of What love is this - Kari Jobe became the anthem for the next chapter.
